Palapa N1 (Nusantara 2) satellite failed sliding into orbit
Palapa N1 (Nusantara 2) satellite failed sliding into orbit.
The satellite launched by the Long March 3B rocket in Xichang, China experienced an anomaly when it entered the stage release of level three rockets, and then shattered in pieces.
This satellite should replace the position of Palapa D, whose active period is projected to end this year also. With this failure, broadcasts in Palapa D are in danger of being transferred to another satellite.
Indosat can continue using Palapa D for the next few years, but anomalous disturbance will certainly threaten any time.
